The food was absolutely amazing. The place is comfortable and cozy. You feel at home and the food is like home cooking from my childhood. The meatballs melt in your mouth. Borghis offers excellent food and service as a chef owned and operated byob at the shore in Avalon. The food was great. Fresh fish, large portions, and great sauces. Cold bottled water and warm bread is served with the meal and the main courses come with a small house or ceasar salad. There are dinner specials in addition to the printed menu items. The resturant has both indoor and outdoor (covered patio) seating. The resturant is on the smaller side - looks like approximately 10 to 15 tables depending on how they are configured. You can call to make a reservation and they accept credit cards for payment.

My son George was working here during the summer so we met him here for dinner. It was outstanding and a must try if your in the area. The food came out hot and stayed hot not to mention it was delicious. All the desserts were homemade and one was better than the next! Usually don't give ALL 5 Stars but when you deserve it you do. Highly recommended Byob! Tell Dino that George sent you! Dino is the owner and his boys also work there. Top notch family and outstanding restaurant and staff!!!! Thx again for everything.
